Workshop 3: “Supporting Student Learning Outcomes & Assessment with Technology” (facilitated by Marjorie DeWert, Lifelong & Distance Learning, Ohio University): Description: According to Quality Matters, a continuous improvement model for assuring the quality of online courses, learning objectives state what students should know or be able to do. Learning outcomes are a student’s demonstration of their actual ability to do so. Assessment is the process of gathering evidence of student learning and using this information to improve teaching and learning. Attend this workshop to learn more about how you can use available technologies to ensure that your students grasp the meaning of learning objectives and are provided with multiple and appropriate ways to demonstrate mastery of them.
